Not sure what to say?

Mr. Meehan was my 3rd grade teacher for the 81/82 school year at Eastham Elementary. He was by far the most amazing teacher I had. He was kind, funny and knew how to get a Chatty Cathy doll like myself to pay attention. I´ve looked for him many times, even visiting the school when in Oregon to no avail. To this day, I still think of him fondly and send my condolences to his family and those who knew and loved him. Fun memory, before class and at recess, he had a cassette player in the back of...

Stories, on and on. All of us he helped, befriended, and shared his life with, have them. He was a classic and will be remembered and missed.

I worked with Dick at Eastham Elementary in the early 80's. He was always the practical joker and as someone before me said - not always appropriate - but FUN! To his family, I'm sorry for your loss.

Judy and Family- I always appreciated Dick and his wit as we worked together in Association work. He was a helpful supporter of mine during the campaigns for office that I was lucky enough to win. We had fun times at meetings. Great guy and educator.

Judy – Dick was a true friend on both ends of my life, our 8th grade together and the few years at the coast. He was always a fun guy and put up with me on both ends of our life. I only thank his alertness to find that we were living close to each other again. If anyone wants his class picture (1944) please email me at [email protected].

Have missed this old friend before now. Always admired and appreciated his knowledge and ideas. Worked with him for many years and always appreciated his ability to treat his students with respect and as young adults. They performed well because that met his expectations and I think that is what they wanted to do.

I hope his post retirement years were good ones and my condolences to his wife and family. Rita Mills

I worked with Dick from 1988-1995. Dick me made laugh quite of few times. Some were at inappropriate times (during meetings staff meetings).(:-) He was one of the most intelligent people I ever met.
Rest my friend rest.

Miss you, my friend.
