Rick was my vice-principal at Lincoln and principal at Shasta from the mid eighties until I retired in 1996. Mr. Mello was a great principal and very tuned in to his students needs. It is with great sadness to hear of his passing. Our son is enrolled in the SDC at Shasta and he has excelled since being at this school for the past 3 yrs. Mr. Mello will be missed.
