Not sure what to say?

To all the Merks, you have my deepest sympathy and a wish that you will be comforted by all your wonderful family memories for the rest of your lives. I will remember Mr. Merk as always smiling. His quick wit kept me on my toes and made me laugh so easily. His family has always been close which is a testament to him and Mrs. Merk and the way they raised their kids and cared for them even as they became adults. He was a devoted grandparent and took so much joy in his grandkids. I am forever...

My uncle was one of a kind. He had a way of making you feel special. You just loved to be in his presence. He was witty, loving and like me-adored movies!! I always looked forward to visiting and discussing our recent favorites and watching the newest films during Merk Movie Night.

Marcia and Family,
Steve and I send our heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Dick was a wonderful man that we always loved being around. His presence always lit up a room. We have enjoyed many wonderful conversations over the years with you and Dick, especially at Sharon and Don's 4th of July parties. You will be in our thoughts as you go through this horrific time in your life.

This world has lost a true one-of-a-kind! I have known the Merk Family for over 35 years, in all those years Mr. Merk always had a smile on his face. Always kidding & joking with Marcia, the kids and family friends. I will miss his quick wit and sense of humor. God bless him and the Merk Family, my deepest heartfelt sympathy & love to you all. Cheryl

What a handsome guy. That smile. This looks like a photo from either before the Navy or just after. A wonderful man. A wonderful human being. He made lemons out of lemonade. And he made us laugh. God Bless all of you and all of us.......hope he meets up with Uncle Jim real soon. dj
