I had Professor Miller for Torts and Civil Procedure. I will never forget him teaching us at the UH Law School (later named the Richardson School of Law) the legal joke on jurisdiction in 1976. The judge asks the young attorney, "Counsel, how are you here?" The attorney answers, "Your Honor, I came by taxi."
