Growing up in Monmouth, Dick and Cindy were both a huge part of my childhood, and his friendship meant the world to my grandmother, Doris. He was a wonderful man who had a positive impact on countless lives, and he will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Cindy and Family,
I am saddened to hear of Dick's passing. I will miss the twinkle in his eye and the forever constant smile on his face. He will always be remembered as that special someone who brought smiles and laughter to others! Lydia has dance performance on Saturday with a dress rehearsal this evening, so I am sorry we will not be attending the celebration of such a wonderful life. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Joelle, Tom, Caleb, & Lydia

I know we didn't get together much after our family reunions ended and our mother (Frances Milligan Ellis) died but I know I speak for my family when I say how sorry we are to hear of Uncle Dick's passing.

Scott and Dean and families,
So sorry for your loss and his struggles the past few years. He was much loved by many, always joking and teasing. So glad his struggle is over. Praying for all of you.

Dick was just a wonderful person. He was an excellent mentor. I truly appreciated all the help he gave. Dick was always a 'fun' person to be around. He was one of the first people to ask me what he could do when my wife was seriously ill in 1979. Dick will be missed.
