Dr. Richard P. Mills

On behalf of my classmates in the Yale Class of 1964, I extend condolences to Richard’s family and friends. Richard had many friends in our Class and will be missed. We mourn his passing and will remember him on our Class Website, in the January-February 2021 issue of Yale Alumni Magazine, and at a memorial service on campus during our 60th reunion in May 2024.

I met Dr. Mills a number of times at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and appreciated not only his brilliant mind but also his sense of humor. I always looked forward every month to read his superbly written and cogent editorials in Eye Net magazine for those 14 years he was the Chief Medical Editor.
