Not sure what to say?

I will never forget Richie, and he will always be in my heart. I remember him as a kind and loving friend to all.

Hi Rich. I found you through the inspiring music of your son. Because of you, he is creating music that fills my life with meaning. Thank you for being there for him, he is a light, and you are an important part of that, touching others. God bless, my friend.

Why am I not surprised.....

That about 1000 people went to Rich's wake

That the church was packed

That I never saw such a cross section of people, of all ages. sobbing uncontrollably.

Why was I not surprised? Because I've known him from almost day one, being his cousin, about 3 years older. Those of you who knew him later, the guy was ALWAYS like that, what a blast we all had back in "the day"!

Amy, Ricky, Maura, Aunt Ann, and cousins,...

Dear Mitarotonda Family,

My name is Mitchel Sklar. I played baseball with Rich in Valley Stream, his father Lou was our coach. I have very fond memories of both. We also played basketball together at Howell Rd. I remember Rich as one of the really sweet kids from my childhood. I now live in Weston, CT and coach baseball, what a small world, and how wonderful it would have been to meet up again on the ballfield.

My deepest sympathies,
Mitch

To the Mitarotonda Family:

I recently heard the news of Rich from the VS North High Alumni group. I am saddedned to hear the news. I knew Rich through his Brother Bob, and had the pleasure of making his aquaintance; he was a fine man, humorous and kind. My thoughts and prayers to the entire Family.

Hello
I had the honor of meeting Rich a few years back. I worked for the FLC and Rich had this account. What a wonderful man was Rich , funny ,smart, personable , simply a wonderful man I weep at the knowledge he has passed. God needed a smart and personable leader for other things, and knew where to go . Rejoice in his selection.

Dear Mitarotonda Family,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of a great man. Rich always had a smile and a warm hug everytime I would see him. I have been a friend of Louise and her family for many years. I pray for you and your family during this difficult time.

Maura, Amy and Rickey,

I had the pleasure of knowing your husband and dad for the past 13 years and have nothing but fond memories of him. He had a great sense of humor and was always able to laugh at himself as well as at the jokes of others. He will be dearly missed but will live on in the great memories we have of him.

Maura, Amy (Erik) and Ricky, please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your husband, father and my very dear friend.

I'm so glad the last 12 years of my life have been with your father working hand in hand as his secretary.

I watched Ricky grow from a dear little boy to a handsome talented young man. Amy earning her teaching degree and hired as a teacher in a small neighborhood school where my neice and nephew attended.

I will always remember your...
