I just received word of Dick's passing, and I am deeply saddened. Dick was my boss for many years. He was a mentor, coach and truly cared about the people he worked with. Like many young women in my day, I believed for awhile that I could do everything. For me that included a big corporate job and a having young children. I was a colleague of Dick's and worked with him from 1976 to 1992. Dick hired me in 1976 when he was still living and working in Duluth. Later I succeeded him as CFO when he became President of HBJ Publications.
