Richard MOLLIN

Godspeed Richard. My Summers in Calgary were some of the best times of my life. Susan and I deeply appreciated the opportunity to spend so much time in Alberta. I'll miss our joint research (in both quadratic extensions and scotch.) We sure had some screaming fun times at conferences; I'm surprised we weren't permanently banned from Monterey. Earth will be a much less interesting place without you. Good-bye, buddy, see you at the Resurrection.

I've never met a more brilliant and passionate teacher and colleague. He saw the beauty in numbers and wished to share it with the world. He was also a great storyteller, fascinated with the humanity of great mathematicians before him. It was a huge honour to have studied under him, and an even greater honour to have worked with him. Rest in peace, Dr. Mollin.

Richard, you will truly be missed, and you will remain in our hearts forever. You were indeed a very special friend to me, I will always cherish the 28 years that we spent together my dear friend. I miss all the times I used to cut your hair, the good laughs we had and the jokes we told one another...I was shocked and deeply hurt when I heard the news of your sudden death. You left us too early, but you will always have a special place in my heart. May god have mercy on your soul. Rest in peace.
