July 11;2019. After many years I still remember Dick as one of my favorite friends at the Port. Thanks for jogging my memory of this kind and friendly gentleman.

Dennis Maxwell

I was very sad to learn of Dicks death today. Dick was a very kind man. I am grateful to have known him and very fortunate to call Dick a friend. My life is better knowing Dick, I will think of him often and fondly.

I too very much regret I will not be able to travel back to Oregon to help celebrate Dick's memorable life journey. My blessings go out to Patty and the family, and I will raise a glass in Dick's honor and memory on the day of his life celebration.

So sorry to miss this time of remembrance. Working with Dick at the Port was always a pleasure. My sincerest condolences to Patty.

Thank you all for your beautiful thoughts and memories. We invite you to the celebration of Dick's life on Saturday, September 6 from 1-3 pm aboard the Oregon Maritime Museum's sternwheeler, Portland. Announcements are going out this week. Please let me know if you haven't received one: Dede Montgomery at [email protected].

Godspeed Brother. You helped me stay on course from your wise words at SAN.
I won't forget.

Please include me in your notice on the memorial. My best to all of you. Maura Doherty
