Read MoreI still remember coming out to California once with my family when I was very young and Uncle Dick letting my brother John drive the Stanley Steamer. It was struggling up hill and we were all saying "I think I can, I think I can". Great memories. he will be missed.

When we lived in San Diego, and then Holtville (Imperial Valley), after our two children were born, we enjoyed many meals in the Moore home. Will fondly remember Stanley Steamer rides, especially when Grandad Richardson was there. Dick and Mary were always generous and good to us "desert rats." The know-how and ingenuity of men like Dick are a thing that belongs to that great generation, and we are all better off because of them. Thank you, Dick, for all that you quietly exemplified.
