Your books are on the shelf in the new house and Violet's earrings are in the armoire. I wish we could have a dance on the nice wood floors but I guess you'll have to save me a dance in Heaven. I always miss you.

I will miss Richard greatly. I have a long association with him in my early days of being a musician, and we quoted much material in his studio. I always enjoyed and marveled at his wonderfully eccentric personality and view of the world, and read the books he would create with interest. Richard made a real difference in my life in many ways, and I'm sorry it took me so long to find out about his passing.

I knew Richard because of my work with Jon McKibben. Richard and I worked on a variety of projects and so one day I received an invitation to a party, I guess I made the party qualifications list. The style of the invitation really reflects Richard, especially the part about a special area for people who do not like to go to parties.

I miss you. I always do. I remember you each day when I see your Mother's treasures you sent to me. Violet lives in my heart because she gave you to the world. You left your mark on engineering and art and those of us fortunate enough to be a mouse in the corner are blessed to witness the genius God created you to be. I know you knew how much you meant to me and I know you loved me out loud. I pray you are in Heaven building hot rods with my mom. Lovest love, Autrey
