Dick was an individual's individual. Our friendship grew and grew over the years at Longwood. He did more for youth tennis than words can describe. To the very end, Dick did it his way. Rest in peace my good friend, you deserve nothing better!

Dick was an individual's individual. Our friendship grew and grew over the years at Longwood. He was his own man to the very end. He did so much for youth tennis, words cannot fully describe. Rest in peace, my good friend, you deserve nothing less!

As a member of Longwood Cricket Club since 1956, Dick Mount would certainly be recognized as one of the most unforgettable --and well loved-- characters many there had ever met. Living a block from the club, he was there almost daily, playing, practicing on the backboard or regaling compadres with tales of his unique life. All who knew him hope he's found courts, a backboard, and a barstool surrounded by friendly Dartmouth alumni in heaven's tennis club. His spirit will forever live in those...

Dick was one of a kind. A true gentleman. I am honoured to have been a friend. He was a great tennis player and competitor always gracious to his opponents. If you knew Dick either on or off the court you were truly a "lucky banana ". Rest in Peace Dick you are missed.
