The first memory I have of meeting Mr. Mucci was when I auditoned for the Palm Beach County Honor Band. I will never forget that audition! Over the years, he was always there to help me. He was my mentor and friend. He is greatly missed.

Dick was a wonderful friend and one of the most important influences on music and life for hundreds of his band students and colleagues. One of our favorite people, Richard Mucci, was a good friend and a fun loving, humorous individual who enjoyed people and life.
This time of year, Richard would e-mail photos of the changing trees and flowers around his house, just as he would chronicle the first snow falls and Autumn colors for all of his "flat-land" friends living in Florida.
He was a wonderful man, a true gentleman. We will miss him greatly.
