Rick was a mentor, boss, and friend. I feel very fortunate to have known him, and to have had the pleasure of working with him for several years. The outpouring of love at his Service was a tremendous tribute to the life he lived, the friends he made, and the loved ones he was taken from too soon.

Rick was a classmate of mine both at Fairhaven Junior High and at Bellingham High. He was a very handsome young man, and very popular with students and teachers alike. I was impressed with his kindness and humor--a very classy person. I was saddened to learn of his passing, and send my deepest sympathy to his family.
