Not sure what to say?

Am just now reading all his papers and am so sorry I did not get to meet him. His papers are excellent and his work on SIDS was prescient and is very helpful to me now.

Dick has been departed from this world for 10 years now. He has been joined by his wife and partner in life again after a 9 year separation. Every time I attend Meeting for Worship I see them sitting together on their bench. Their love was always clear to anyone who had the good fortune to meet them. A better F/friend could never be had.

Susan:

Your father added tremendously to the closeness and the discussions of the Men of St Paul meetings. I have the privilege of having him at my home several times and appreciated his appreciation and comments on the flowers and plants of our home. He is and will be missed by the members of the Men of St Paul. As long as we remember him, he will be with us.

May God bless and comfort you and your family in your time of sorrow.

When you look at the night sky, look for the brightest star that twinkles the most and refuses to fade away; for it was such that my father lived his life to the fullest and the midnight sky is brighter because of this.

(Look for a tribute to Richard Naeye in the upcoming March issue of Sky and Telescope magazine, found at Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, and other major booksellers.)

Our sincere condolences to Pat, Susan and family at the passing of their husband and father. We remember Dick as an esteemed colleague, a dedicated researcher, and a congenial fellow founding chair of the early HMC clinical departments. His photagraphy was enjoyed by all who visited the halls of the medical center. May his memory live on in our hearts.

For the correct version of my previous two stanzas, please e-mail me, Susan Naeye, at [email protected]. Happy Holidays to you all. Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I celebrated Dick's 84th birthday and Thanksgiving with him in November 2013 and he was delighted to be surrounded by old friends and colleagues. RIP

Dick was a man that lived what he believed. What he believed was love and kindness toward all. If others lived as he did there would be a far more peaceful world. Good-by dear F(f)riend.

I came to Hersey by bus on a Sunday evening in the fall of 1979 on a Pathology residency interview trip. I was tired and for some reason the town was not what I had expected. I called Dr. Naeye to tell him that and to suggest that it might be wise for me to cancel my interviews and go on to the next institution. Dick said don't do that because the interviews were already scheduled and he asked where I was. He picked me up at my motel and drove me around town explaining about Milton Hershey,...
