Not sure what to say?

To the Nanes family: I discoveted his "Nocturnes to the Celestial Seas" on a long United Airlines flight. I listened to the album twice through. If someone needed a lift for a tired body or deflated spirit, his nocturnes would help. He will never know how much I enjoyed them - for many decades now since that 1980's airplane ride. His family ought to be proud of his accomplishments!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

My condolences and sympathy to the Nanes family. I worked with Richard many years ago in several concerts and always appreciated his wite, style and talent.

I'll miss him!

Robert Ian Winstin

I was devastated to hear the news of Richards passing. He was always so generous to me and I regarded him as a very dear friend. We spoke only a couple of months ago and I am so grateful to have been able to have that last conversation with this dear friend.

My sincerest condolences to the family.

"appreciation is the finest flower of culture."
I deeply appreciate the way he treated me. To paraphrase Shakespeare, "His life was gentle and his music devine...the elements so mixed in him that nature might stand up to say, this was a man.
Commissioner George J. Rios

My sincere condolences to Richard's family. He was an outstanding individual, a great friend, and a brilliant composer and pianist within the international world of classical music.

We will all miss him.
Richard Warren Rappaport

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Miles and the family. Dick was a wonderful man who entertained us at many of our parties throughout the years. We will miss him and his music.
