Not sure what to say?

i will miss dick nelson greatly

I worked with Richard at Nuclear Chicago/ GD Searle/ Siemens in the late 70s and early 80s. He got me interested in genealogy and family research, he also helped me fullfill a life long desire to get my Ham license in 1977! I over the years have though of him as he was one of those special people in my life...Thanks Richard for being part of my life.

I just recently found out about Dick's passing when I visited Bethel Baptist hoping to see Dick and when I inquired of him was told that he had passed away last June. It was such a shock. I met my husband at work with the help of Dick while playing cards during break. I was only 20 when I first moved here and had the hardest time referring to him anything other than Mr. Nelson, but Dick had a way of making everyone comfortable. So many stories, too little space. All I can say is that he...

Dick Nelson (as we knew him at work) was a wonderful person, always willing to help at work and with his drawings for anniversaries and retirements of the workers at Nuclear Chicago / Siemens. We will all miss him.

I was very fortunate to have known Richard through a joint interest in genealogy. We were members of a group in Streamwood where he taught us all a lot about research, friendship and kindness. I also knew Helen and she too was a wonderful person. No doubt a benefit of their deep faith. My condolences to you all from an old friend. Christine Marshall Cain

I AM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT RICHARD NELSON PASSING
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH FOR ABOUT 20 YRS.WE WILL MISS HIM GREATLY!

Dear family, we are so thankful that God had allowed your dad, mom and your family to be such an important part of our lives. Coming to Bethel as a new babe in Christ, a single parent of two...having friends that loved the Lord and exhibited His love towards us, enriched our lives and walk with Christ. Such fond memories and cherished for sure. We will continue to pray for your family during this time. Thomas enjoyed getting to know your parents and enjoyed the "stories" we could share....
