Not sure what to say?

Mona, I just heard about Rich´s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I know we hadn´t kept in touch, but I hope you remember me. He was my roommate at Augie and in my wedding

I worked with Dr Nelson in my early years at St. Lukes in the Main OR. He was often there working in our Cardiovascular surgeons ORs & Vascular surgeons. He was always calm, friendly, reassuring no matter what the situation. I always enjoyed working with him. So sorry to hear of his passing. Debbie Mahoney

I worked with Dr Nelson for many years at SLH and just adored him. Smart and kind and loved his dry humor!! I send my sincere condolences to the family he spoke of so frequently. I´m so happy to have known him. Francie Bailey Wendlandt

I was Dr Nelson's "Banker" for more than 35 years. I enjoyed his visits, conversations and valued his requests for advice. His family was most important to him. I loved when he shared how proud of his children he was and what they were doing in life. Prayers to the Family.

Most heartfelt condolences to The Nelsons... As a classmate of Eric's through middle and high school, I would often say hello to Dr. Nelson, as he was always in attendance at our various school sports events. Never did I see him without a warm, friendly smile on his face. The dedication written here is beautiful. My heart goes out to everyone in the family.

Our deepest condolences to the Nelson Family. Your thoughtful obituary puts to words what we have seen, but only briefly . . . that Richard's love and caring for his family was unmatched. We hope that this provides some measure of comfort. With Love, Pat and Nils Bolgen

Our sincere condolences to you Mona and all the family. May the good memories comfort you thru this heart breaking times. Hugs Love Ken and Melba.

I worked with Rick for all of the 36 years that he was at St. Luke´s Hospital. I was always amazed at the comfort and care that he gave our patients. I was always comfortable when I knew that he was the anesthesiologist involved in my patient care. I know that he will be missed more than anyone can say our God will be with him and bless him on the next page of his first chapter in his next life. Dr. Barry Wood, nephrologist, Kansas City, kidney consultants.

Deepest condolences to Nelson family from Larisa Zhurav and Sergei Snapkovsky. We will always have the fondest memories of Rich. He continues to live on in all of you and all of us that were touched by his young soul.
