Not sure what to say?

We are so saddened to hear of the death of ' king Richard' we knew him through my uncle 'uncle jim' and never feel as if we thanked him for how very much he cared for 'jimmy'. we visited Sarastros many times and Richard was always so welcoming. Our sincere condolences go out to all his family, we shall be visiting Sarastros in the very near future and shall have a bottle of his favourite red to toast him!

Oh how I will miss you and the fun and laughter. You changed my life forever. You were one of the world's greats who taught me how to live life, enjoy life and drink far too much!

Rest in peace my good friend and don't forget that I'll still appear in Sarastro from time-to-time, so look down on me with good cheer.

Fond memories

We were so sorry and sad to hear about the death of Richard. We are relatives of Joy Evans who knew him so well. We had the privilege of meeting Richard a few times and ate a couple of times in his restaurant. He was so generous and so kind and always made everyone feel so loved and welcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

God Bless you all

To Sibel, Caroline, Salih, Salim.
I first met your Dad & Uncle in 1994 when he was putting Sarastro together. He became my true friend and was one of the kindest people I have ever known. No words can help at the moment. Only time will heal the hurt you are all feeling, but I am quite sure he would wish you all to carry his legacy into the future. I expect my husband is singing an aria or two to welcome him into heaven and Mona (my painting looking down on you all) is holding his...

We would like to express our sincere
condolences to the family of Richard.

What a wonderful person who done so much for the Community he gave local people jobs and and was alway's very supportive to the local community a unsung hero all the beautiful flowers he supplied to the community. We had the honour to sit in one of his cars one summers day. Richard will never be forgotten and he is now with Jimbo another ederly gentleman who looked after him very well.

May he rest in...

Many thanks for your great kindness and hospitality when I was fortunate enough to be your guest in the house on the shore.

RIP

A true unsung hero has now gone to heaven, his rewards there will be plentiful.
Richard will be missed as a close relation, he was loved by all who knew him. One of Gods own has returned.

Richard was a great patron of the arts, with a huge heart and an even greater appetite for life.

I remember the heady days of Richard's reign in Bromley at Caligula's and Caligulette's before his triumph in Drury Lane. I also remember the faith he showed in me to allow me to provide some of the artwork for his restaurants, and the generosity he showed when never allowing me to pay for any of my meals.

A lion of a man who will be sorely missed.

We would love to hear you saying "Haloooooo" one more time.

Resat Bey, we all will miss you terribly. You left a big gap in our hearts and an empty table in Sarastro that no one can fill.

Sleep well.

Love
