Not sure what to say?

Dick will be missed by all of us at Grand Rapids Popcorn. He was a favorite of all of ours. I always enjoyed his company when he came to place his orders for the athletic boosters. He would always make sure he bought a turtle for his wife that he loved dearly. He always talked about Betty and his family. He would love to bring the grand kids into the Popcorn company when they came to visit. He loved to show them off.I will miss him no one could ever replace him. Sadly missed by Renee and...

Hi Bette, its a voice from ur past. Bruce and I are sorry to hear of Rich's passing. Sherry VerDier moved bk to G.R. and called me. I thought ur daughter's name was Polly not Paula. My memory is not what it used to be. Thoughts & prayers are with u. Kathy

Mr. Nowicki was a great supporter of Northview Cheerleading when I was coaching. We had more fun learning how to make cotton candy and working the concession stand. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of loss!

The character that was Dick will forever be remembered here at Knollcrest Dining Hall. It was a blessing to us to get to know him for the short time he drove our hot food around to the different charter schools. I know he made an impression on the staff at those different stops as well as here. Dick was passoniate about everything that required his opinion. Jesus told the disciples that we need to be either hot or cold not to sit on the fence. Dick lived that. Our prayers of comfort are...

Hi Bette and Family,

We will continue to pray for you at your hour of need. Dick's suffering is finally over and our thoughts are with you all. Dick was and always will be "Northview"; having served on the "Grill Crew" with him for 3 years and countless Booster events. I'll miss our great debate about which school was better (MICHIGAN or STATE), plus the tasting of kielbasa, 'Wildcat' burgers and the pop. He can never be replaced, but will be missed by all the students, athletes,...

Betty and Family,
We offer to you our deepest sympathy for your loss. I will not be in town to attend the funeral, but hold you close in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely...your neighbors,
BettyJo, Chris, Matt Marsman

Having sat with Dick at Northview Athletic Booster meetings for 12 years and by his side at the "Wildcat Grille" for the past 8 years, I will miss his chearful greeting, "Hi, Lar" and the "sample" kielbasa we had to have every football game (just to be sure it was worthy of being served). Dick is - and will remain - Northview. He was totally dedicated to the school and its kids. While Dick can never be replaced, may his legacy live on. Dick, we loved you and will miss you. Our sincere...

We were so sorry to hear about Dick's passing. I have many good and funny memories of him, as I grew up across the street and then moved next store. He was such a good man and our prays and thoughts are with you.

Jeff and Mel Varnagatas (Troyer) and the kids....

His contributions to Northview Public Schools are legendary. He will be missed and never replaced in the community
