I was not only lucky enough to ref with Rich over the years but also had him ref my boys Cedar Drive basketball games which I coach. He was a terrific person both on and off the court! He will be missed by one and all. M y condolences to the O'Connor family...Frank Vento

I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and Prayers. I know Erin, Justin & Mrs. O'Connor spent a lot of time with him and have many many good memories. Time with Loved ones is always a blessing.

Rich was a member of many families with his fellow basketball officials, coaches, players, administrators and fans being a very important one. Rest In Peace Fellow Referee.

So sorry to receive this news. We are in Florida . Rich was truly "one of the good guys". I will miss seeing him at the 9am mass each Sunday. Our prayers go out to Kathy and his family. Mary Ann and Bruce Doorly

My sincere condolences to the O'Connor Family. I had the privilege to ref many Basketball games with Rich. When I walked in to a gym and saw that Rich was my partner, it always out a smile on my face. We became good friends and I will miss him. John DeMatteo

My deepest condolences for the O'Connor family. Richie was a fixture at St Clement gym as a referee for our CYO program. Never thought the game was the bigger than him. He just wanted to be a part of it. He will be missed. May he rest in Peace
