Richard was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War Veteran; Purple Heart recipient; a founding member of the Marine Corps League, Gung Ho Detachment No. 650; president of the 1st Marine Div. Assn, Buckeye State Chapter; member of the Chosen Resevoir Veterans; American Legion Post 703 and VFW Post 6676.
