Owens and Brumley Funeral Home - Wichita Falls Obituary

Richard Lee Oldham, 87, of Wichita Falls went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 2, 2024 in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home, Wichita Falls with Pastor Warren Hall officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled. Interment will be private.


Richard was born December 31, 1936 in Nocona, Texas to Lee Oldham and Opal (Russell) Oldham. He was a longtime member of Allendale Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. Richard went to school in Nocona and graduate high school there. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the clarinet in school and later at the church.


Richard met the love of his life, Shirley Jean Ezzell and they married quickly on August 30, 1958. Shirley was young, age 16, and he was 21 years old. They had three children together.


Richard was a salesman at Sears and Fire Appliance Company, later starting his own business, RLO Advertising.


Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Opal, his wife, Shirley; and his sons, David Oldham and Kevin Oldham.


He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Kindinger and spouse Jim; daughter-in-law, Lisa Oldham. He also left behind four granddaughters, Marisa Grimes, Whitney Gattis, Carol Ann Cole and Denise Platt; five great grandchildren, Dawson and Maddie Gattis, Blake Platt, Abigail Cole and Hailey Scott.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Allendale Baptist Church, 4650 Allendale Rd., Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.

I enjoyed visiting with Richard on Sundays at Allendale Baptist Church. He always had something interesting to share with me. I miss him, but I have know doubt he is with our Lord, as well earned.
