Dick and I entered Union the same year, were both part of a doctoral research project exploring new approaches to field education supervision, and shared many classes together. I especially appreciated Dick's love and knowledge of the theater and his wonderful and robust sense of humor. He definitely enhanced my seminary education experience

I was so happy to see him again a number of years ago at a friend's wedding in West Branch. It was such a coincidence after all this time. He was a wonderful man. That is why I sought him out to perform my own wedding. Now he is in heaven with my friend John!

Reverend Paulus was a town icon and genuinely one of the nicest people I´ve ever met. He will be so missed. Thankful to have been his neighbor for many years.

The West Branch Elementary Students will certainly miss his reading to them!! They looked forward to his visits! He had a life well lived!

I always remembered when Grandpa Paulus would read to us as elementary students. He loved when we called him Grandpa Paulus.
