Not sure what to say?

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Richard's passing. He was a caring, compassionate, and brilliant person who will be sorely missed at the Air Force Research Lab.

I only knew Richard Payne through his Sudbury Town Crier. He was entertaining and thought provoking. I even had an exchange of editorials with him over Senior Citizen taxes! I may not have always agreed with him but I respected his integrity and honest writing. I will truly miss his contributions to our world in Sudbury.

Elaine,

Our sincerest sympathies go out to you and your family. Richard was a great man, a great leader, and most importantly, a great friend. I, and all of us at the Sensors Directorate at Hanscom AFB, will miss him dearly.
