I was very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I always called him Rick. His father was Uncle Rich. I have fond memories of when we lived next door to Uncle Rich and Aunt Rose on Claasen Avenue in Slavic Village. I always enjoyed the games of chess, (even if I never won), Rick and I would play. Although he was some fifteen years older than I was, he always showed me a great deal of respect and treated me with kindness. For that, I will always be grateful.

Dear Perkowski Family....I was saddened to see that Rich ( I knew him as Ricky ) passed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To me he was Rick, Rich came later.

It is so sad to here of Rich’s passing. Rich and I were best friends during our teens and into our late twenties, we lost track of each other some 25 years ago but I only have good memories of our friendship or with the Perkowski family. I will always remember how Rich’s mom and dad almost always let us win at Canasta. The victors got a half gallon of ice cream or sodas. Or the time Rich damaged his dad’s 1967 or 1968 Chevy Impala and we drove...
