Richard Russell Perry

I first met Dick Perry in the mid-fifties while I was an engineering student at UT. I got to know him better when we were colleagues at UT. We often played basketball at noontime.
Dick was a true gentleman. R.I.P.

I was honored to have had Dr. Perry serve as Chairman of my dissertation committee at The University of Toledo. He made it possible for me to move quickly, write professionally, look at the picture thoroughly, and express myself precisely. He seemed to enjoy the journey as much as I did! He stood proudly with me when I received my Ph.D. at graduation in March of 1978. And, I remember him proudly today!!!

Dr. Dick Perry is the reason I was able to graduate from the University of Toledo. He helped me get a job as a meat cutter with the help of the parent of a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He allowed me to pay my tuition on an installment basis with the money I had earned. If he had not bent down to help me I would not have been able to finish my college education. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Perry for his compassion and help.

Dr. Perry was one of the finest gentleman and learned educator I had the opportunity to know. Now is the time for him to Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences to Barbara and all the members of his family.
