I met Cousin Dick in the mid-1980s. He was my father's first cousin and I happened to be going to LA for work and my dad asked that I "look him up." What a great guy! He embraced me as family the first moment he knew I was Joe's daughter. We had so much in common. We were both Unitarian Universalists which would have been enough, but our interest were so close it's like we'd known each other for 50 years and he lived long enough that we just about reached the 50 year mark.
