Richard Andrew Petroski

Very sorry to learn of Rick´s passing. I was honored to be his orthopedic surgeon & enjoyed our visits together. He was always full of energy & I was happy to help him stay active. He was very proud and loved talking about his family & was always interested in mine. I always appreciated that about Rick. Just a great guy. Please accept my most sincere & deepest condolences. I played basketball with Rick when we were very young. I am #11 and Rick is #4. Sponsored by American Legion Post 1001, you couldn´t be over 5 feet tall to play in this Pee Wee division. We won the PA state championship that year in Germantown, outside of Philadelphia. I remember Rick as being quiet but very competitive. I moved to Florida in 1971 and after reading his obituary, it seems like we led very similar lives...as educators and coaches. My condolences to Rick´s family and friends.
