Not sure what to say?

Well, old friend. We're approaching the 18th anniversary of your passing. I fondly recall the crazy good times, and a few sad times, which were the bookends to a lifelong friendship which defined us. You were my brother from another mother. Not a day goes by that I don't take a moment to reflect on those days...and how much you're missed. Until we meet in that celestial soiree, sayonara.

I knew a Richard Pettyjohn in the 1970's growing up in Placerville CA. Richard moved to Sacramento and we were pen pals for a while. He loved the river. He would have been class of '80 in highschool. I hope that he lived a full life.

I met Rich in 1986 in little town far far away and my life was never the same. I'll miss his presence on the earth and I know I am a better person for having known him.

A gentleman always. A good friend to Anthony. Richard I watched you grow from a boy to manhood. God Bless. Gone but never forgotten, always remembered.

I've known Rich since I was a little kid, I am now 39. I'll remember the trips him and my brother took. I remeber him and Anthony working on the old jeep in my moms drive way. I will always remember him as a free spirt in life and now his sprit is free in heaven. For his family, know that he had alot of people that loved him for the zany person he was. Hey Rich, I will miss seeing you on my trips to California!!!!

I knew Richard for thirty years. Lot's of good times and memories. I hope you found peace, brother.

I remember Rich from band at Mills Jr. High; always a quiet sort of guy, but kind and much smarter and wiser beyond his years than the typical 9th grader. I am saddened to hear of his passing.....

I went to Cordova High, graduated 1980 (Elizabeth Adams). I remember Richard, although we weren't friends. We were in band, and I do remember his "droll" sense of humor. It saddens me greatly to hear he ended his life. My heart goes out to his family.
