So sadden to hear the news of Richards passing. We rejoice to have known and had times of fellowship with Richard and you. We are thankful to Richard and you for enhancing Mother and Daddy's (Howard and Betty Cochran) life and ours too. Life would not have been as sweet if they or we had not known you two.

Richard was one of the sweetest men that I had the pleasure to work with for one week during the school year. Coach Pickell and Ann Kerr would help me have field days with my elementary school children at Harriman High School. The high schoolers were the ones who actually ran the event. If it rained we would have the field day in the gym. Before it was named after Coach, I use to tell him I called it Pickell's Palace. He would have a big laugh at me.
