Not sure what to say?

Dick was responsible for me getting my first mortgage loan as a young community Organizer for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation in Detroit. Dick was an exceptional human being who I considered a friend. My sincere condolences to his family.

What fine and fun times we had while Dick was with !st Federal of Michigan.

An old St. Louis friend whom I greatly admired, Dick and I, sometimes with Bob Smith who had moved to Savannah, got together on the Savannah golf course, at his beautiful home with his lovely wife Audrey, and elsewhere in Savannah over the last several years. A most loveable guy. I send my sympathies to his loving wife and family. George/Jerry Bitting

Dear Uncle Richard,
May you rest in peace. We love you and miss you!!!

Please accept my most sincere offer of sympathy on the passing of Richard Platt. I am sure that he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, and by the city (Savannh) and the nation he selflessy served with all of his energy, intellect, loyalty and devotion. There is no greater measure of a man's life than how he answers when called upon to love, serve and protect his family and his country.

We very much enjoyed our brief times together in France. Our deepest condolences to Audrey and the family, now and in the days ahead.

My sincere condolences to the family. Richard was a good man through and through. I met him at Christ Church during the Savannah Sojourn last May and we were fortunate enough to tour the Coast Guard's EAGLE. Thanks for all he did for the Girl Scout movement. I know Juliette Low would have love him.

Our thoughts are with you during time. I will truly miss Richard.

With our love and sympathy.....Dia and Basil
