Not sure what to say?

I spent hours and hours at American Recording in 1980 and 1981, while my then boyfriend/eventual husband, the late Phil Seymour, made his first 2 albums for Boardwalk Records. Richie was always kind to me and made me feel like part of the family. I´m so sorry he´s gone and send my condolences to his family and his long time engineer, Bill Cooper.

I first met Richie and Bill when I was playing drums for Pat and Lolly Vegas along with Jimmy Greenspoon in a new version of Redbone, back in the 1980s. Richie's infectious personality and true appreciation of everyone's talents made him very comfortable and fun to record with. Over the years I played drums on many of Richies projects including artists Dwight Twilley and Phil Seymour. But the biggest joy was when Richie showed interest in recording my own drum record. Richie was the kindest person in the world and easily one of the best guitar players in the business. He gave the world some great music and touched many lives. I have great memories that I will never forget with He and Bill in Catalina, or in the Studio. He will be missed.

Sending my most sincere condolences, Bill-- and THANKS to you and Richie for putting up with me and my silly questions while working on the John Mayall records, it was the experience and education of a lifetime.

WOW I have been living in Texas for the past 13 years and just asked my brother if the Celebrity has come into Avalon yet this summer.....I am so saddened to hear about Richie's passing. I remember sitting on the stern of the sailboat listening to Richie playing his guitar. What wonderful summer neighbors you guys were! I plan to return to the Conejo Valley soon (the heat here is intolerable!), so Bill, if you ever want to reach out and have lunch or need anything, please feel free to reach...

Always so kind and loving never forget he would sometime cook in the studio kitchen. Dear precious Bill Cooper I love you so much too my prayers for you as well. I am a blessed woman to...
