Not sure what to say?

My condolences. I am the genealogist for the Syver Olson and Birgit Dengerud families. Mostly because I am a direct descendant of both of them. We have a reunion every even numbered year. I am hoping to locate Rick's final resting places. I gathered from his obituary that he was cremated. Did he leave any wishes for his final resting place? The whole Dengerud clan would appreciate any help you can provide. As a note, your great-grandfather Syver fought on the Union side in the Civil...

Dear Pope Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a husband/father/grandfather is such a hard idea to process. He will leave a large hole in your hearts, but the good memories and fun stories start to heal that hole over time. If you would like to talk to someone who has walked this path, please don't hesitate to call me.

Elle,
You and Rick were the best neighbors/friends we could ever ask for. I am so happy I got to know both of you and live next door for the time I did. Rick was such a fun loving person, kind and gentle spirit. I always felt comfortable around him.
What wonderful memories we will all have. I am so sorry for your loss.
Rick will be sorely missed.
Love & Hugs,
Linda

I just wanted to thank all of you for writing and sharing your stories and thoughts about my Dad. The support and well wishes and wonderful memories mean more than you know. Keep talking to him and don't forget to laugh! Much love, Angie

So sorry to hear about Ricks passing, our thoughts and well wishes go out to the family. He will be greatly missed.

Rick accepted people for who they were and because of this people felt comfortable being around him. Rick was a warm, kind, and gentle man. In all the years I have known Rick I never heard him say an unkind word toward anyone. Jeri
Mike--I will miss him. We worked together for 10 years and watched his children grow up along the Tualatin River. Rick found a lot for sale along the Willamette River and took me to look at it one day at lunch. It has been our home for 35 years and for...
