I just learned of Mike's death this morning at the "Y". I knew of his illness, and have been missing him. We enjoyed pulling each other's chain and talking theology. May he rest in that peace which passes understanding. The Rev. Tom Brown

I will miss my dear friend and our conversations, with his intelligent humor and repartee. Mike had a good heart and one of the keenest minds I've known. I loved him much. Olive Gaines, Kingston TN

To all of Mike's family,
We knew of Mike's illness and saw him a few months ago but just learned of his passing last night from one of my brothers. We will try to make it down to Birmingham this weekend if possible but want you to know that we will all miss Mike and for his being the great guy and "Character" that he was.It was always interesting to have him audit my company in Atlanta.

You have my prayers for peace in the loss of Mike. I had the pleasure of working with Mike first as a client in the late seventies then as his partner from 1982- 1984. He was a talented & brilliant accountant. I always appreciated his wise counsel.
