My son had the great fortune of having Dick as his Boy Scout troop leader for 2 years. My younger son and I joined in on many outings with the troop. Dick set a strong example of love of the outdoors and love of the boys in the troop. He was fair, kind, and inspired the best efforts from the boys. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see him last winter at the Forestry Christmas fair, where we shared memories of Boy Scouts (and where I purchased one of his beautiful turned bowls!). ...
