Not sure what to say?

I just learned of the passing of a dear friend. Dr. Preis, was a great man of God and a true friend to all that know him. I was confirmed by him in His church and also married by Him there. My wife and I have been married over 50 years, so the pre-martial advice he gave was gold. I pray for His family and miss him. The nice thing is I will see him again in heaven.

Richard and I were co-workers and friends in Lutheran Campus Ministry at various campuses around the country from 1951 to 1955. He added so much fun to every group, especially when he was singing or involved in any event! I unexpectedly saw him again at a Women of the ELCA banquet in Lawrence, KS about 15 years ago, when he was entertaining by singing hit musical songs. A mainstay of the Ingebrigtsen family growing up in Ann Arbor was Trinity Lutheran Church and Pastor Preis. So many fond memories. - Kathy Ingebrigtsen Hines

We always had a good time talking about the Carthage days! Thanks for bringing your music shows to St. Paul's twice and it was a privilege to be your accompanist. Hubert preceded you to heaven by a few weeks. It would be a privilege to be at your burial if I could find out when it would be. Rest in peace as you sing with the angels. Sympathy to Andy and all the family. Phyllis Linn

Praise and glory to God for the life of Richard Preis. I rejoice knowing he is singing again in Heaven.

We were blessed to know and have Pr Preis at All Saints LC. Enjoyed several of his music programs. Leon and Judy Johnson

Dear Richard, We will remember you as a Friend we all Respected and Admired. Yours truly, Phyllis Dunn

I was saddened to hear of Pastor Pries's passing but I will always remember the wonderful time I had participating in a play that he directed and produced in January of 1966 in Ann Arbor.
