Not sure what to say?

Another fond memory of Richard Prior: In addition to his weekend "gigs", he also entertained everyone in the EHHS faculty room on a daily basis with his many stories and anecdotes from his past "gigs". He always added a bright spot to everyone's day. Bill and Marie Baron

Bill and I just learned of Dick´s passing this morning (Sept. 21). We were members of the East Hartford High faculty with him years ago and enjoyed his friendship. There was not a day that went by that he didn´t bring smiles to numerous faces. Our sincere condolences to Marie and his family. Bill and Marie Baron

Rich, my most sincere condolences over the loss of your father. Your family will be in my prayers.

Laurie , ..... I'm so sad to read of your father's passing. He was a very very accomplished man. You're daughter will have an extra angel looking over her.....as well as the rest of your family......God Bless you & your Family during this difficult time.

Dick was an active participant in our Tuesday evening D-Star radio net. Always cheerful, helpful, and a joy to have on the net. We will all miss him greatly. One of the really good ones now a silent key. With all my sympathy.

He taught me how to play the Stand up Bass and the Baritone Horn. Marching Band, Concert Band and Stage Band were my favorite subjects in school. The friendships I developed with other band members are still going strong after 50 years. Thank you Mr. Prior for your dedication and humor, you will be greatly missed....

Mr. Prior was a very special person. His love for music and teaching was infectious. He was my teacher for four years of band and marching band, as well as music theory at EHHS. The day I walked into band for the first time, he realized that he had too many flute players. He offered all of us to learn a different instrument. I was the only one who took him up on it. He spent countless hours after school teaching me how to play bassoon for concert band and orchestra and baritone horn for...

Rich, my deepest condolences to you and your family during this time of mourning. And may you find peace in happy memories you made with your dad.

Rich & family, I am very sorry to hear about your loss, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
