Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences go out to the entire Provenzano family. I did not have Mr. Provenzano as a teacher but continuously heard of how detail oriented he was in his classes which, being a student of history even now in my adult life, always had me wishing I had the pleasure of being one of his students. Last summer, when visiting the Saugus Iron Works, I got a chance to tell him this wish of mine and his eyes flickered with appreciation and thanks. He was still so sharp and...

Dear Carol,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and yours. Although I had only met Richard a few times, I found him to be quite an impressive guy. It was an honor to meet him.
Again, my most sincere sympathy and prayers go to you and your family for finding some peace while you grieve this tremenous loss.
Love,
Lisa Ward (from Wellspring House many years ago)

Mr Provenzano was a wonderful teacher who inspired me to follow my interest in history. I enjoyed seeing him at the Iron Works when I returned home to Saugus for visits. I had the greatest respect for him and he will truely be missed.

Dick was a voice for Saugus history. He and my mother worked together to keep the Saugus Ironworks an important part of our local and national history. I have kept his articles written for the Saugonian. His interest in Saugus has helped preserve much of its history.

Dear Carol and family,
My cousin Dick was a man of many talents even from a young age. Some of my earliest memories: He was the 1st person I ever knew with a "stereo". He said to get the most out of it, it HAD to be loud. He also sang in the St. Margaret's choir and I loved hearing him sing every Christmas eve and my favorite of all was Joy to the World and to this day it reminds me of him every time I hear it and, of course, at this time of year, I'm hearing it several times a day In...

My deepest condolescences to the entire Provenzano family. Dick was a kind, sharing man, and his passion for Saugus history was infectious. I have 2 of his books, Pirate cove and Saugus Memories. He knew how to weave a tale. He will be missed.

Dear Carol, Steve, Charles, Michael and all of you who are saddened by Dick's sudden passing. Rosemary and I spoke with Carol and Mary late last evening and once again we are struck and transformed by the faith, love and hope of you all. I have 40 years of memories of Dick and Rosemary,30 years. We give thanks for Dick the man, the father, grandfather, husband, brother in law, uncle, friend. Dick was a wonderful human being, a scholar, teacher, historian, who had a mania for books. and music....

To Gerry Puglisi and the Puglisi Family:

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your brother-in-law/uncle. My prayers are with all of you during this trying time. Though I never knew him, he sounds like someone I would have loved to have known. Love to all, Esther Comeau (Maria's mother)

My condolences to the Provenzano family.
