What a great and generous person we lost. Rick and I were debate partners our freshman year at Helena Central. I remember coming up against Stahl and Flaherty from Great Falls, having they´re caddy come in first rolling in a large file cabinet. They never used it but sure was intimidating to Rick and I. In 94 I was in the hospital due to cardiac arrest and Rick was one of the first to help, generous beyond fault. Gonna miss those get togethers at the cabin but more importantly missing a great...

Little did we know this was the last of countless East Helena Veterans Day ceremonies that Rick would attend. Rest in peace dear friend, peacemaker, and justice crusader.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of Rick. My heart goes out to the family along with prayers. East Helena raised some champions and Rick was one of them. Rest in Peace.

I was at a Saints game with Julene´s cousin to watch his son play football. I saw this person wearing a big purple wig playing an accordion walking through the stands. He saw me and ran over to announce that he would play the Butte barrel polka for me since I was his cousin from Bitte. Rick will be missed by family and friends. Prayers to you and and the Pyfer family. I´m sure Rick is entertaining everyone up above.
