Richard C. Rack of Hoffman Estates Services for Richard C. Rack, 71, will begin with prayers at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg, and proceed to St. Zachary Catholic Church, Des Plaines, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Brzezinski), whom he married May 5, 1956, and having celebrated 50 years together; loving father of Paul (Johanna) Rack, Janet (Ken) Bozelka, Diane Rack, Sandy (Dan) Day and Joanne (Steve) Rosater; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Daniel, Kevin, Frank, PJ, Stephen, Matthew, Morgan, and the late Marie and Andrew; and dear brother of Elizabeth (the late Frank) Mueller, James (Teruko) Rack, Rosemary (the late Kenneth) Foster and the late Robert (Karen) Rack. Dearest Phylis, words can not express the sorrow I feel for you and your family. I truly Loved talking at length with Dick, while he waited patiently for your hair appts. He was & is a Real family man. The stories he shared, and the laughs we had, will be forever tresured in my memory. If I have 1/3 the marriage I will be blessed.
