I remember all the fun Richard and I had when he, Walter and Regina would visit Dandridge, Tennessee... Miss you my friend... Jack Horner Nichols

It was his Nephew Gerald who liked the song, Special Angel. Sorry this should be added to the prior remembrance.

He was in the Refugio -South Tx area- he was very
Kind to my mother. He was very young said he was
Checking on a well. He was unusually small town

It was impossible not to love Richard. He loved being able to change someone's life or just their day. Richard changed the world. I'm so grateful to have known him. My deepest sympathies to Darla and his family.

I loved Richard Rainwater, neighbor for many years . We carpooled our children together and ran two marathons together . What a wonderful and inspiring person he was!!! Years after our children had grown up I was looking for a job. I put a call into Richard and sure enough in a few minutes my phone rang . It was Nancy, Richards secretary telling me to hold for Richard. He said "hi, Its raining and I am in New York City and walking trying to balance my phone and my embrella..... Let's chat...

Richard was extraordinary in every sense of the word. He gave so many others the opportunity to realize a fuller potential. I was so fortunate to be his friend. He changed my life.
