Not sure what to say?

Richard was a classmate at KCHS 1960. Sorry to,hear of his passing.

My sincere sympathies to your family and friends at the loss of your beloved father! May his wonderful legacy continue to live on in each of you! Tami Avink

Mr. Rajkovich was one of our awesome PEP program teachers, and attending that program each week was easily one of the high points of our school experience. He knew how to keep us challenged and engaged, and truly made learning a fun and enjoyable experience for us. He will be missed for sure, sending along my condolences to the Rajkovich family and all of his friends, as well as numerous students that he befriended over the years!

I was enrolled in PEP in the late 90s. I always loved PEP days and the creative and fun assignments and projects. I remember we once had to create an ancient civilization, complete with artifacts and even a language. Our group's civilization was the "Bagel-onyians" and had a full alphabet of bagel shaped hieroglyphics. I'm on faculty in the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences department at WMU now, and every time I introduce the International Phonetic Alphabet, it makes me think of that...

Mr. Rajkovich helped shape me as a thinker, reminding me that there's always more than one answer to a problem, teaching me the proper way to use rubber cement, and how one could successfully cut any block letter from a square of paper. I remember Mr. R. teaching us to be problem-solvers and to be curious, not just with his teaching, but in the very way he interacted with us. After observing my atrocious cutting skills trying to cut out block letters every week, he was the one who finally...

Many, many years ago I played softball for St. Barnabus Episcopal...I played with my dad (who has also passed to Heaven). Richard (Dick) played for a tough team...St. Monica´s. He was a great pitcher and nice guy. So blessed to meet him over 25 years ago...but I may have known him as far back as 35 years ago. May the Lord bless him and his family.

So very sorry to read of Dick´s passing. I first got to know him at KCHSchool. We were both members of the class of 1960. I got to know him better as we were both teachers in Portage. He was a 4th grade teacher at Angling Road and my middle son was lucky enough to be in his class. I taught fifth grade, and I became better acquainted with him, as I usually had a student or students in the Gifted and Talented program. Dick always had a smile on his face and it was so obvious that he...

Mr. Rajkovich was my fifth grade teacher at Amberly Elementary, 1967-68. That was a golden year in my childhood. He and Miss Audrey Allen, who taught science, imparted so much knowledge to all of us, and did so with a flexible and creative spirit. Knowing that I was asthmatic and therefore had great anxiety when it came to athletics, Mr. Rajkovich encouraged my artistic side in lieu of kickball games, and let me create some bulletin boards. He taught many of the boys in our class how to...

Sending Mr. Rajkovich´s family my sincere condolences. I worked with him for several years in Portage Public schools with our shared PEP students. I hope the family finds solace and comfort with the many special memories of Mr. Rajkovich. He certainly was a talented, and interesting man and he will be deeply missed.
