Not sure what to say?

This is Steve McIntyre. I was a student of Dick Ramey when he was the Asst Band Director at Carroll HS from 1973 to 1976. He also taught music theory, a class I enjoyed very much. Dick was a positive force and a wonderful guide. He also gave me good investment advice. After many subsequent years, I met a mutual acquaintance, Wayne Maxwell, and we always discuss sax music and Dick when we get together. I just now found this site, 13 years later, but it´s not too late to offer tribute to...

We miss you MR Ramey and your great joy of music and life. I miss you as our principal and the students as well. Im sure you are having fun with all your loved ones. More than likely you have a band going on. RIP sir.

I was a reading teacher at Alice Johnson Jr. High when Dick Ramey was our assistant principal. He loved to fill in and teach band whenever he could. His love for music was very obvious, and his outlook on life very optimistic. Nothing seemed to get him down. I remember when he talked about his Boxer when it was young and how it just about chewed up the house! He didn't want to give up on that dog though. Mr. Ramey was a warm hearted, kind, and generous man. I wish God's best for his...

Karen, I was sorry to hear of your loss. Dick was a wonderful Assistant Principal @ AJJH and a good friend. What a dependable, caring person he was. May God be with you during this dificult time.

Mrs. Ramey I was saddened to hear of his passing. I was a band student at Wharton High School under his direction. I remember attending camp and many activities with both of you. He was truly a dedicated teacher. My prayers are with you and your family.

Mrs. Ramey, Mr. Ramey was our band director in the late 1980s at Wharton, TX. He was always kind and helpful. My condolences to you and your family on your loss.

Mrs. Ramey I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Ramey. I was just thinking of him & decided to look his name up and I found this article. He was my band director in the Wharton ISD. My condolences.

Karen,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. My God bring you comfort and peace.

Richard was always supportive of the teachers at Tohatchi High School. He helped the school as well as he could under the circumstances.
