Not sure what to say?

Lorrie we are so sorry for you loss! It was an honor to know Dick as a friend and neighbor at Cannon Beach. He will be missed.

Gene and Tami Lewis

Dear Lorrie,
We were so saddened to read about Dick's passing. We could set our calendar with your visits to Maui every winter. I shall always remember his impish smile on the tennis courts. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Aloha, Karen and Ed Chenchin

Hi Lorrie,
I was so sorry to hear about Dick's passing. He was such a special person and will be missed alot.
When I first joined Irvington Club you and Dick introduced me to members and got me started playing with other players. I liked playing tennis with him as he was such a funny character both on and off the court. Always positive and had interesting stories to tell.

My thoughts go with you and your family during your grieving.

Barb Farmer let me know...

I remember Dick from the 60s. We all thought he was this gorgeus blond god, but he always made us feel so special. We would wait until he came out of the Life gauard tower to listen to his bueatiful voice. I had a crush on one of the life guards who was at least 5 years older than my fourteen years. Every time Ron would walk by, Dick would always play (Born to Late); that was his cute sense of humor.
I remember seeing you and Dick a couple of years ago at Jan Stewart's party; he was just...

Lorrie, I am sorry to not be able to come to the gathering on Sunday but wanted to let you know that you and Dick have been in my thoughts. I learned many lessons from you both as a young lifeguard in Cannon Beach and I admired and learned about the spirit of living well, working hard, having fun, and helping people. I will certainly "perform acts of random kindness in true Rankin style" in Dick's memory.

Lorrie, Marilyn and I send our condolences and wish you all the best during the tough times you are facing. Dick was one of a kind. We will always enjoy happy memories that go back to the 1960's. Please visit us when you are at the beach. We are keeping you in our thoughts.

Lorrie, We are so sad to hear of Dick's passing but will remember fondly of the good times we had playing tennis with both of you at Wells Park in Wailuku and the fun Christmas parties we had with you on Maui. Our
thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go through this difficult time. With much aloha, Rodney and Gloria Inciong

Aunt Lorrie,
My prayers are with you and the journey that is ahead for you. I wish I could have made the trip up to Portland to join you in the celebration of Uncle Dick's life. But I know he would have told me not to spend the money. He truly was an inspiration to me and will continue to be in memory. I love you both so much. Thank you for everything.

Lorrie,
I am sorry to hear of Dicks passing. I have many fond memories of the early 60's at Seaside's lifeguard tower - touch football, surfing, singing around the bon fires. the pypo club etc. He is missed! God bless. George Daggatt
