Not sure what to say?

Elisa, Little Rich, Andy, William, Eric, Karen and all the Rasmussen Family and Friends, Rich was a very heartfelt friend. The legacy of Rich's life inspires that many great small things can be accomplished by ordinary great small people, that the common person can do uncommon things for the environment and for the community. We will always hear his voice in the finches and birds of SPRING, in the gentle SUMMER gurgle of the Père Marquette, in the windy forest leaves of FALL, and in the...

I too graduated with Rich from the EGR class of '66. I am a "Sparty", so I did not see Rich after high school. Although I did see his father, "Dick", at the GR Rotary Club lunches. Our fathers both passed at 101, six months apart. About fifteen years ago, I needed some medical care and Dr. Ras treated me at the Cascade ICC. We spent about a half hour catching up, from our high school days to college, careers, marriage and children.
May God give your family strength and comfort. Memory...

Dear Elisa, Little Rich, Andy, and William,

Your husband/father was a gentleman in the very best sense of the word. He had a genuinely gracious and sweet spirit in his dealings with everyone. Eric, Carole, Karen and I particularly remember our many walks with Rich around Reeds Lake. Rich was a walking encyclopedia in explaining all manner of interesting facets of the great outdoors, his only criticism being of those dreadful alien species that did not belong in Western...

Dr Ras was such a blessing and a joy to work with at The Blodgett Immediate Care Center. So many patients were the recipient of his kind and gentle demeanor. We had a great team , pulled a few pranks, and will truly miss Him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

My sincere sympathy goes out to Rich's family. I smile remembering the wonderful times spent at EGRHS. Hold each other close.

Dear Elisa, Andy, William and Little Rich,
Thank you for welcoming me and letting me share your last days with Rich, my gentle and supportive brother. I am so thankful that I got to be there, to be awed by his humor in the midst of his bondage and to be inspired by his death with dignity. Also, I am inspired by your loving-kindness to him and each other as you tenderly took care of him to the end. Thank you for your wonderful example. You are an amazingly strong family! I love you. I am...

Rich shared some space on the roof of the Phi Delt house with many good friends almost 50 years ago. He has been the best of us all along.

Greeting from Olympic View, Washington. Dear Family including Rich, Our hearts are breaking and our love for you abounds. Now Rich is in God's hands. So glad Rich that you could come out to the Pac NW for mountain climbs and kayak trips, great adventures. Also loved all those wonderful times at the R Lodge on Pere Marquette River. We miss all of you so much. Love and blessings, Eric and Carole

My heartfelt condolences to Rich's family. He faced his disease with grace and great courage, and so did you. May his spirit always be with you.
