Richard O. RAUSCH

Dear Joyce and family - What a wonderful tradition to continue receiving words of grace and affirmation of the very well lived life of your husband and Dad. As I am now the very age of your dear ones death, it puts many things into perspective for me. I am so very grateful to have walked as Rich has with the Lord Jesus Christ for 52 years now. Getting saved during the Jesus movement (yes, that was me in the movie "The Jesus Revolution" - metaphorically speaking) I was a "hippie w/o drugs"...

Rich was a kind and thoughtful friend who was always a strong support for the ministry we shared together. I think of both Rich and his wife, Joyce, often and I know that they are both cared for dearly by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Blessings always to all of the family.

Richard Rausch was always an encouraging force whenever Joyce and he visited our home. His father in law, Charles Steeneck was a great friend to my Dad many years ago. When I was a teenager RIch was always kind and happy and made me feel comfortable through rough years after my Dad's early death. I know that he will be terribly missed by his wonderful children, grandchildren and dear wife, Joyce. But what a blessed assurance that he's resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior. May God...

I will always remember my years at Lu-Hi and Mr. Rausch as principal. He not only was a tremendous leader but led with a true servant heart and a desire to share Christ with every student. I can honestly say Mr. Rausch is one of the reasons and influences that led me into the Pastoral Ministry. Thank you Mr. Rausch for giving to the Lord!

RIP Principal Rausch and prayers to the Rausch family. I went to school under his leadership at Grace Lutheran and Lu-Hi and remember him to be a kind,patient and decent man.

While he was at all the family reunions, my most significant memory of my Uncle Rich was when he picked me up at the airport when I flew into NY in 1976. I was on my way to a junior year abroad and we were all meeting in NY before going over. He picked me up at the airport and we drove to his house in Hicksville. Along the way though, we drove around Manhattan looking at the sites: the Empire State Building, went up the Twin Towers, etc. We stopped in the City, where we parked (probably...
