Richard passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017. Richard was a resident of Rhode Island at the time of passing. Richard graduated from Moses Brown School Harvard University and University of Bologna Medical School. He served in the United States Army RI National Guard. Richard was married to Paula. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary?s Church 1525 Cranston Street Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME Crematory 1278 Park Avenue Cranston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence RI 02904.

My daughter Deborah was delivered by Dr Recchia . She recently turned 50 . I am so very grateful for his care and kindness to me . I just saw this that he has passed . He was my doc for about 12 years . A wonderful human ..great doctor . Sending my prayers to all his family . May his soul rest in peace

He was so lucky to have had Paula as a lifetime partner. Peace.

So sorry. I was a patient of Dr Recchia. He was a wonderful person. I will never forget the night he waited with me when my ride was late. He would not leave me waiting in the dark alone. You should be proud of him.

Paula, I just heard today of Richard's passing. I am sending my warmest condolences to you from San Diego. We will be returning to RI mid June and with your permission I would like to call and see how you are. I will remember him at Mass this Sunday. Tom.

It was an honor to have worked with Dr. Recchia at Fatima for 20+ years. He was a great surgeon and a wonderful man. My deepest sympathy to his wife and the entire family.


I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Recchia and family on the passing of a wonderful Doctor. Over 30yrs. ago Dr. Recchia saved my life. He not only saved my life he also delivered both my children 49yrs.old and 47yrs.old. He will be in my thoughts and prayers. "Dear and Glorious Physician."
