Not sure what to say?

I just heard about Dick's passing from Frank Lyons, Dick's brother-in-law and was greatly saddened. I included him among my very best of friends and will always cherish his memory.

The very best of love to his family. Please know that Dick made a difference -- a REAL difference in all who are privileged to have known him.

Love,

Bill Melcher and Family
Calabasas, California

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Dick's passing and will fondly remember all the great times our families spent together while I was growing up. Although Uncle Dick was a bit intimidating to me as a child, as an adult I truly appreciate the sacrifices he made for our country and what a neat person he was. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I will always treasure my memory of seeing Uncle Dick in October 2008 over coffee and pie in Brick, on our way to Spring Lake. He was physically competent, mentally alert and not without his wry sense of humor. He led a long and interesting life on two coasts and leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory.

Sincere Condolences from the Family of Frank & Ellie Ard. We will always have our wounderfull memories of our great times together with both Eileen and Dick. May God Bless them both

Sincere Condolences from the Family of Frank and Ellie Ard. We have shared many wounderfull memories of Eileen and Dick. that will be with us always.

I will always remember Uncle Dick as a quiet and gentle man. He will be missed by a wonderful family. My thoughts are with you all.

I was very sorry to learn about Dick's passing. I can remember hearing your grandmother (Annie) tell many stories about Eileen and Dick to us in Harrison, N.J. May your memories bring you comfort.

Mr. Ritchings was interviewed on his World War II experiences back in June 2003 in Sea Girt at the NG Militia Museum of NJ.

He gave a clear eyewitness account of his time overseas, especially about the prison camp he was liberated from.

Anyone is allowed to come view the veterans' tapes there. We have close to 400 in our archive.

Please accept our sincere sympathies on this loss of a true patriot and survivor.

A complimentary DVD copy will be on...
